    On the pushing;

    it is illegal for an offensive player to get behind and push and offensive player for more yardage. i. e. a big OT cannot get behind the RB in a huge pile and push him for extra yardage.

    On the hits;
    It was a point of emphasis in the off season this year to protect defenseless WR's. Its mostly judgement on some parts, but you cannot lead with your helmet, or hit helmet to helmet. The rule is that the defensive player cannot target an offensive player above the shoulders if the WR is not defending himself.
    It is Rule 9-1, Article 3b.

    Alright, I have watched the 2pt play at least 20 times;
    the runner was DOWN two yards out. theres no denying it. you can see it clearly on the replay.
    The ref's are responsible for making sure that stuff does not happen. They did not even replay the call. I cannot believe that call stood.

    And people wonder why everyone doubts ND, they have to have the ref's give them two points
    If the 2pt conversion is no good, the Washington FG wins the game.

    He didn't get in the endzone for the 2.

    You can't hit a defenseless player above the shoulders, whether it be with your shoulder, head, or even your arm in some cases.

    Helmet contact happens all the time particularly on running plays inside, but you simply
    can not aim to hit someone above the shoulders with any part of your body when the player is unable to protect himself.

    The game is over. Life moves on. It's not the first time we've seen teams screwed in the last seconds of a game.

    (And Notre Dame will probably get destroyed next week. That should ease your pain, Biggin! )

    Chubz, you have to look at it like this. Washington upset USC... Notre Dame lucked up against Washington, but had some GREAT goal line stands. Notre Dame could pull the upset and play USC tough.
    Could be a GREAT game.

    Upsets are always possible, but not likely! That's why they call 'em upsets!
